Office 2000

Every time I start my computer (WIN 98) or try to open an Office 2000 program, I get the message, Please wait while Windows configures Office 2000. Also none of my Office shortcuts will work. I've tried uninstalling and installing MS Office, but nothing changes.

You could try going to the MS Office Update section at Microsoft.com
I know there are several versions of the Windows installer. It may be you need to update yours before it will install properly. I had a similar problem when installing an update.
