Hi
I need to report a dbase table which has a 600 character field. I can do this if I use version XI using the xBase driver for the data source and aqll I need to do is set the field to Can Grow.

However if I use the dbase or visual foxpro odbc driver I can only report on 244 characters of this field.

I am using the latest Mdac 2.6

Is there any other way of report the full length of this field as I would prefer to use the ODBC drivers

Thanks
Peter

Ido

Using Crystal XI reporting on dbf database tables

I believe that those drivers are old, and only support up to 254 character fields.

Why are you opposed to using the xbase driver? It should be faster and you don't need to set up ODBC connections.

The xbase drivers require the files to always be in the same place whereas the obdc drivers allow for different mappings on each pc

Are there any new odbc drivers for dbase files

If you use UNC mapping, it shouldn't be a problem, such as:

\\machine name\path...\path...
