ODBC Driver Development

I want to develop ODBC driver for one of my engineering applications. I want to know of any resources which can give me a path to start developing ODBC Driver?

If anyone can give me a few resources from where I can start, I will be highly obliged.

I am also trying to make odbc driver but facing some problems in reading and writing the handle pointers i had initailzed.If u have some other resources , which can help in developing odbc Driver do suggest. I will be highly obliged.
