Obtain MAC address from Workstation

Each Network Interface Card (NIC) has a unique Media Access Control Address. For various reasons (i.e. be able to identify which NIC is in which workstation without opening the case, I'd like to be able to access the MAC ID via a quick VB program.

Seems to me that there must be a Win32 API that would work here and get the MAC for me....but I can't find one.

Does anyone know if a WIN32 API exists to get the MAC ID off the NIC card? If not does anyone have any other ideas?

Well, if you can read C++, there are examples of how to do it here:

I'm sure the equivalent VB code can be written, or it can be put into a C++ DLL which your VB app can call.
