Nothing getting to tape

Hi,

I am running arc serve 2000 on a nt4.0 server with exchange 5.5 client agent installed. I recently started putting together a disaster recovery plan for this server and found that nothing is on the tape. or atleast thats what arc serve is telling me. I tried every tape we had nothing worked. i tried to restore by tree. still wouldnt let me. can someone give me some pointers of what to try. I thought it didnt matter what tape you used on restore by tree? thanks for any and all help in advace.

Hi

We too had this problem. You ve not indicated weather you have the SP4 from arcserve or not.this is what we found to be the issue.

Arcserve V7 seemed to not backup files correctly unless SP4 (build 1100) and the relivent patches had been added. You have no clue this is happening until you try to recover the data.

i know the arc serve isnt updated hmmm guess i'll check out their site and see if it is usefull at all.
