Norton Ghost?

I would like to make a ghost copy of my server (w2k) for a BU. What version should I use, when I try to use the latest version I get errors, do I need to use the corp. edition?

Any adivse on doing this?

Sorry Charlie.....Just kidding, I always wanted to say that.

The Norton Ghost is great but has a lot of draw backs. 1st of all you have to make sure your Cd-Burner is compatible with it. Second you have to make sure you have the right Media.

For example, I used TDK CD-R Data Cd's. They were up to 32x compatible speed. They worked fine and I could ghost anything. Then I got the same disk only newer "Up to 48x compatible." Can't get them to ghost anything.

Shop a few Cd first. Then try to use a different Cd-Burner. You can get a list from Symantec, but other than that, help is hard to get.

I use Ghost 2003, and works flawlessly with win2k/xp If you are getting errors while making the ghost copy, that's odd. Make sure you're not trying to ghost the running partition/os

I'm backing up to file, not CD.... As the far as the errors, who knows. The KB on thier website states they can't recreate the issue....

Is anyone running it on w2k server?
