Morning Folks, Have a puzzler ... I have a 1000E 7.5 I got an XMI001 17 . Looking at this it talks about the card in the expansion cabinet. I have no expansion cabinets as I knew them. Everything is either MGS or MGC . Any Ideas

Maybe a little more info. Is this a cabinet, chassis, SG, MG.

We have either MGS ,MGC or MGX . With only 17 showing in the error how do I determine where that card is ?

Is this happening on more than one switch? You mention MGS, MGC and MGX. Which do you have on the problem site?

I have all three at this site . With that said XMI001 17 XMLC with no other info. How would one determine where that card is. There is no longer card slot 17 anywhere .

The XMI001 17 would indicate card slot 7 in Media Gateway 0 1, or Loop 0 Shelf 1

Maybe go into LD 22 and print your CEQU, it could be an old conference or TDS loop or something that didn't get removed if this was an upgrade from an Option 11. Not sure though

That was awesome, great info. I checked CEQU nothing there. How did you know that 17 related to 7 ?

In the old Option 11 cabinets the first expansion cabinet would be card slots 11 thru 20, that still holds true for XMI messages I believe. Do you have a Loop 0 Shelf 1? You can print the SUPL config in LD 97.

Was this an upgraded site or a brand new install? The reason I ask is something may have been carried over from the upgrade that is not needed anymore. I have a CS1000E Chassis in my lab and if I oull a card out it will give me the XMI001, however it shows like this'

XMI001 4 0 2 XDLC

Loop 0-1 would be in my 10/10 cabinet .

Is there an analog card in slot 7 of that 10/10 cabinet. Or maybe stat 0 1 7

It is a digital in 0-1-7 . This is a system that was upgraded from 1000m more than a year ago.

I puzzles me in the fact that it only had 17 in the alarm. I thought at first it was part of the Super Loop segment with 16-0 / 16-1 .

That's what makes me think it was something carried over from the upgrade. Look at your conf/tds loop assignments in your cequ.

Did that do not see 17 anywhere

Told you it was a puzzler. Still curious as to how you came up with 0-1-7 from 17 ?

If you did an upgrade from an Option 11 then old card slot 17 would have become 0 1 7, it's just part of the upgrade and is automatically converted like that. It automatically converts a small system tn like 17 to a large system tn where you have a loop shelf card and unit instead of just a card in an option 11.
