Norstar Protocol

Anyone have any ideas or information on the protocol, etc... the norstar sets use? Also any information on the audial frequencies of the rings, pages, tones, etc would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a very curious coder who's interested in seeing how something like this works.

Norstar sets use ISDN standards...

proprietery 2B + D format communication between a digital set and the system
look at the tech specs in the installer guide, that has some information that u r looking for ...rest all is confidential until you have a friend in the norstar design group

open standards bellcore (now telcordia) sells them

CardType=PRI Lines=1to23 Protocol=N1-2 BchnSelection=DSEQ CoFailure=TIA-547A
IfLevels=ISDN Frame=ESF InternalCSU=ON CsuLine=0 LineCode=B8ZS CLK=PRIMARY

and behind the ni2 setting is an NSF setting, set it to wats to interface with a lucent 5ess switch...
