I have a user who can open groupwise on his laptop, receive email but is unable to send. When I click on the send, reply, or forward, the system hesitates for a few moments and then windows(XP Pro) throws up one of those do you want us to send an error message to microsoft windows. I can proxy into the mailbox and send mail without a problem. I can set tasks and apointments and view the calender without any issues.

Does this Laptop have WXP SP2 installed? If so try turning the firewall off on windows. I have ran into a couple of issues with SP2 and the GW client (6.5.1). Turning the firewall off was a workaround to the problems until I found an answer. Just for grins and giggles you might want to clean the client off and reinstall it. If you do reinstall the GW client I would suggest that you use CleanIt to remove the client first. This is just a guess, nothing else comes to mind right now.

How long does it take the cleanit people to get back to you once you send them the registration email?

You can get a trial version of CelanIt 2.0 by going to the link enclosed. It is fully functional with only a 10 use restriction. This will get you going while you wait on the registration key from Email Essentials.
