Hi all,

I'm running a F80 on AIX 4.3.3 with 2 10/100 Ethernet interfaces (en0 and en1) in 2 different Networks each with static IP address.

After restart en1 is in status up with it's static IP address, and en0 has status up but without any IP address!
So after any restart i need to assign the IP address to en0 with smit.

I'm not familar enought with AIX boot-process to find where the IP adresses are assigned to the network adapters (there are no uncommented ifconfig lines in /etc/rc.net) also i cannot find any differences between en0 and en1 when checking tcpip configuration and device configuration with smit.

regards
Mark

What does

odmget -q "name = en0 and attribute = netaddr" CuAt

and

odmget -q "name = en0 and attribute = netaddr" CuAt

root@eugres50:/tmp # odmget -q "name = en0 and attribute = netaddr" CuAt

CuAt:
name = "en0"
attribute = "netaddr"
value = "167.25.120.50"
type = "R"
generic = "DU"
rep = "s"
nls_index = 4
root@eugres50:/tmp #

also for en1:
root@eugres50:/ # odmget -q "name = en1 and attribute = netaddr" CuAt

CuAt:
name = "en1"
attribute = "netaddr"
value = "167.25.121.50"
type = "R"
generic = "DU"
rep = "s"
nls_index = 4
root@eugres50:/ #

they are similar ... :-(
