Upgraded to 4.2 from 2.1. 412 control. Users hear no audio on outgoing calls. Incoming and ext-ext are okay.

Did you upgrade the Expansion modules

What type of expansion modules are connected to the 412

Yes.
Using 4606 ip phones. 50 VCM's. Rebooting seems to have resolved, but it was working yesterday.

Legacy Telephone Support

The following telephones are not supported by IP Office 4.2. They may function but have not been tested with IP Office 4.2 and any faults reported with IP Office 4.2 will not be fixed.

• 20DT Analog DECT used with IP Office Analog DECT and Compact DECT

• 4606, 4612 and 4624 IP phones

• TransTalk 9040

understood. Getting an license error. attempt to use a feature for which no license is installed. License type - ip endpoints.

Downgrade to 4.1 which does support the 4606
Wrong, the support stopped with 4.0

IP Office 4.0 will NOT support the following sets:
• 20xx (INDeX DT)
• 20DT Analog Kirk DECT (unless IP DECT GAP)
• 4606, 4612, 4624
• TransTalk 9040

Buster, do not worry
That is a SSA (system status) bug, nothing wrong

Resolution:
Downgraded to 3.2. Product specialist at distributor tried to talk me into 4.1.15 software. He swears that Avaya Tier 3 support told him they will support 4606 phones on this level of software, but we chicken out and went with 3.2. All working well.
Final symptoms were strange. One way audio on ip phones when dialed. If you hang up and used redial, two-way audio.

My prvious statement about support for 4606's on Version 4.1
was based on Avaya's IP Office MATRIX document which states all of the supported handsets . 4600 units are on the list ??

Take a good look in the matrix
It says that it is not supported :)
