The following telephones are not supported by IP Office 4.2. They may function but have not been tested with IP Office 4.2 and any faults reported with IP Office 4.2 will not be fixed.
• 20DT Analog DECT used with IP Office Analog DECT and Compact DECT
IP Office 4.0 will NOT support the following sets:
• 20xx (INDeX DT)
• 20DT Analog Kirk DECT (unless IP DECT GAP)
• 4606, 4612, 4624
• TransTalk 9040

Resolution:
Downgraded to 3.2. Product specialist at distributor tried to talk me into 4.1.15 software. He swears that Avaya Tier 3 support told him they will support 4606 phones on this level of software, but we chicken out and went with 3.2. All working well.
Final symptoms were strange. One way audio on ip phones when dialed. If you hang up and used redial, two-way audio.
My prvious statement about support for 4606's on Version 4.1
was based on Avaya's IP Office MATRIX document which states all of the supported handsets . 4600 units are on the list ??
