I have a unique situation here, I think. I have a class on six segments running 2 managers each. With the recent install of 6.2 (standalone, not upgrade) I've been noticing a lot of processes eating up available memory:
Culprits:
- ovwdb.exe
- ovwdbrun.exe
- pmd
Our first problem was the polling rates (both status and configuration, which are needed to initially discover the network quickly so we can teach). Setting them back to defaults helped, but surely enough, those guys come back to haunt my machines.
The systems are patched (all are running PIII 500MHz, w/128MB RAM
We are also running other applications, but those are not eating up processing space. Any ideas on how to slow these monsters down? I've done reboots, ovstop and ovstart (both individually and all). Thanks.
