I've imported a JPG into my library. Put the image on my stage. transformed it down to 25%. placed it in the upper left corner. Put a key frame on frame 15. Moved the image to the center of the stage, transformed it to 75%.

created a motion tween and changed it from motion to shape. Broke both images apart so they are down to a shape.

When I play it. the image does move from upper left to center and the size changes. The problem is that as the smaller one is resized and moved, it TILES itself inside the available space of the shape. Once it reaches it's final position, it becomes the full image, minus the tiling.

Any suggestions or help is much appreciated.

When i use a motion tween. it doesn't resize as it goes.

frame 1-14 jpg 25%, frame 15 jpg 75%.

That's why i was using a shape tween.

Unless i'm doing something wrong. seems like a fairly straight forward task. Though being a new user, i could be missing something.

I've imported it into my library. Not entirely sure if that makes it a symbol or not.

Thank you CH!

I just looked in my library and I had the JPG and something called TWEEN 1. I used Tween 1 and it worked.

for furture reference, after you import your image, select it by clicking on it once, then select Insert>New Symbol and this will make your image a symbol ready for tweening

Thank you again CH. I was just going to accept that some how it magically knew to convert my JPG to a symbol when I asked for tweening.

you get the coveted star.
