I checked and compare with existing NPA`s and FCAS and all seems identical in config set-up.
Issue: Dialling local 9+43 gives fast busy right away. but dialling LD 91+437xxxyyyy gets thru w/out issue.
Obviously, I`m missing parameters to check .
Please help and thanks - going (NXX) nuts.

Is 437 an NXX or NPA, if it's local 7 digits then you need to set it up as NXX.

If it's 10 digit local dialing then try setting it up as an SPN with a different DMI table.

437 is a new area code. I checked and compared existing area code 647 that was added 2-years ago and it was set-up as NPA.
I added 437 as NPA and set-up exactly the same as 647, but works only if I dialled as LD ( 91-437-xxx-yyyy).
Dialling local 9-437-xxx-yyyy gets fast busy tone right away after dialling 9-43.
Thanks in advance for the response.

I see you are in Canada, sorry. Maybe the programming up there is different.

yes, I'm from Canada and we follow North America numbering plan.
647 and 1647 both are set-up as NPA's.
I copied and set-up 437 and 1437 both as NPA's as well.
but I'm getting fast busy if I dial as local.

Are you getting like a rls and try again message, or is the fast busy coming from the outside world?

We don't set them up that way here. We would set up 1647 as an NPA and 647 as an NXX. May I ask why you are doing it this way?

I didn't set-up our ESN but simply copied and follow existing NPA's.

I'm getting rls and try again if dialled as local

Well the rls and try again is telling you it isn't programmed correctly

Do they both use the same RLI? also can you have your provider trace the call maybe they can shed some light as to what they see comming from your switch

Nope, they use different RLI.
The big thing bother's me is that it gives fast tone right away after dialling the 3-digit 943, it wouldn't even let me finish to dial the 11-digit (9-included).

can you post the NPA, RLI, & DMI information for these 2 NPA's?

The fast busy after the 943 is just telling you nothing in the 943 is programmed and doesn't look at any other digits because it only uses 943 to validate the programming. It doesn't care what is dialed after 943. But definitely post the rli, etc.

thanks to all responses. I engaged our vendor support provider and was told something is missing in steering codes.
The issue has been resolved since tho if someone can please let me know the overlay load to print steering codes. thanks again.

A steering code issue doesn't make sense but who knows without knowing your complete setup.
