Hi,

Here is the output of netstat -i

Name Mtu Net/Dest Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts
Oerrs Collis Queue

lo0 8232 loopback localhost 122528320 0 122528320 0 0 0

hme0 1500 db1prodcrasge db1prodcrasge 8326532 0 7930877 295927 607224 0

u can see that the output errors and collision on hme0 is 295927 and 607224 respectively. Could be the reason why my server is very slow on the network ?.. what cud be the possible causes for this collision??

thanks,

sendhil

Check if network configuration is okay, some network cards have problems with "auto detect" switchs/hubs, check if Sun network adapter is running at same speed/value as the switch/hub that machine is connected, i.e you may have 100/ Full Duplex on Sun network adapter and the switch/hub port is running at a different speed like 100/half duplex, this situation causes collisions and errors.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Carlos Almeida,
