Hello all,
I know you all are more than likely getting tired of me asking questions about PDFing but its not my fault, I don't want to do them the way my bosses do. So here goes,
We have a file in Adobe Acrobat and we can PDF them just fine in color, but our Printer says that he wants a copy of it in Black and White, why? your guess is as good as mine, but anyways, I can't use the Adobe PDF Writer to make it, that is how I normally make the file in color and it works fine. I have tried several times to write a .ps file and then distill it, that is no good.
I am using Pagemaker 7 with distiller 5. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cleitch

Hi, cleitch,

Have you asked her/him?

To make a PDF in B&W, try either using a B&W PPD or select "Print colours in Black" under Colours in the print dialogue.

Also, I wouldn't recommend PDF Writer, which is flaky from the get-go.

Somewhat less flaky is PM's Export to PDF, which should give you adequate PDF's. Barring that, print to file, then open Adobe Acrobat (not reader) and open the .ps file and convert to PDF. There you have every option you need in creating a PDF to your specs.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
