I am looking for DDF files to support an ODBC connection to Macola 6.2

I have Pervasive V8 and was told that with a DSN and DDF files I could get information into MS Access from a btrieve database. A single user is on $25.

Also if you have any comments on this approach I would like to hear them.

thanks,
vmon

Yes you can....I am the one who told you that. Are you saying that you have the data but not the ddf's?

I think so. I won't have access to the server until Monday. Pervasive told me I would have to create DDF files and a DSN to access the .btr files.

I don't think the DDF files exist on the Macola server. Should they?

I know where the .btr files are on the server.

The ddf's are in the same folder as the btr files.

DDF are data dictionaries and the btr files are the actual btrieve data files.

Check for the ddf's in the data directory and if they are not there let me know and I will get a set to you.

I was notified that you replied to my post about providing ddfs if you sent me contact info to email, but now the thread has no recent info. As an alternative to pulblishing an email, do you have an ftp site where I can upload the ddfs for you?

Macolahelp,

Somebody red flagged the thread and it was removed.....it has happened to me before too.....I see no reason why a RF is called for, I guess someone just has a problem with email addresses.
