Have Setup Win2k server as an internet server and have a small workgroup. I would like to use the server as a gateway for this workgroup. But only a gateway, as the server is a backup ad server i do not wish these workstations to be able to see or ping (if possible) the server. The server in question is running blackice defender. My question is what are the only ports required for the clients to connect to the internet via the server?

Cheers Mick

i wouldn't use this as a gateway if at all possible then

if you can, i'd get a Dynalink hub or similar that does NAT in hardware, can't be compromised due to open ports unless you specifically open them, and is fairly cheap to obtain and install.

sounds a good option but unfortunatly not an option i can take (company and money)..
