Name display on 5324

Just noticed that in release 5 the name is now displayed as an initial rather than what is in the Telephone Directory.

i.e. name in TD is say Bloggs, Fred is displayed as F.Bloggs now rather than Fred Bloggs.

Anyone know if there is a way to put it back to displaying the full name rather than just the initial of the first name?

I have a 4.1 system that does this but it is only when calling to another element in the cluster. Is your system clustered?

I think what has changed in MCD 5 is that names are now dusplayed in both uppercase and lower case as programmed in the system rather than all uppercase.

No, its a standalone system...although it does appear as a default cluster 9with no pNI) in the cluster database.

This was a change in 4.1 and has frustrated a number of my customers. I do not believe at the moment there is a way around it.

The only work around I did for one of my customers is to program the entire name in the Last Name field. I think you get around 22 characters which is sufficient in most situations.
