Here's one that is puzzling me....

An answer DN is programmed and set to ring. The Ans DN rings when its extention is dialed. It does not ring when AA/CCR transfers a call to its extention. It rings when an outside call rings its extention.

So OK what have I missed here?

Check to see if in the CCR tree the path points directly to leave a message.

That all I can think of.

Nope.

There are no call forward points of any nature on the two phones in question. I should mention one variable not normally seen in Norstar systems.... there is a DS30 station adapter integrating the NAM with the Modular 8X24. Can't see how this would make a diff but there is at least one other example of the two units not communicating in a "normal" fashion.

PhM

I have no idea of how the DS30 adapter integrates with the NAM, but on a transfer coming back from the NAM, when the adapter converts it back to a station signal, the adapter itself may somehow have to act as if it is forwarding that call to the proper DN. Or at least the 8X24 may see it this way after the conversion. This could be the reason it doesn`t work on an answer DN, because it doesn`t work on any call that has been forwarded. With you`re answer DN problem only occuring from a call coming back from the NAM, you would think it has to be an issue with the adapter. No other programming that I could think of would come into play. Please excuse my lack of terminology, but you should be able to understand what I`m thinking about, I hope.

PhM, what rls do you have on the KSU and in the NAM? There are alot posts on ITAS relating to the DS30 adapter.

PhoneMan, at least two of the posts that had 824 connected to NAMs with a DS-30 adapter, said to use a at least a Release 5 adapter due to troubles with earlier releases.
