MySQL Vs SQL Server

I have used SQL server before and got to a level where I was using stored procedures etc. I am know looking at moving into using MySQL - does anyone have any comparisons. I know zilch about MySQL so any ideas about interfaces, useability etc would be helpful. What is the GUI like on it?

there are several guis for mySQL, phpMyAdmin is one of them...

do a search on google...
