Ok this is an idiot question I'm sure but as I'm on the learning curve it's all part of the learning curve.

I've created a user database with name , address etc.

I want to add a drop down box to show either male or female.

Can't think what this is called so I can't look it up in the help file

can someone assist?

This would usually be decided by the server side language you are using to interface the database. You could store the logic numerous ways but forming a drop down box is the job of HTML (assuming the project is web based).
