I have a client that wants to setup a DID number for a new company division. The Legend has R6.0 w/PRI, QCC and a Messaging 2K for VMS (similar to OCTEL100).

The problem is getting something unique to display on the Console for the incoming call, inorder to answer with the company name. Well, so far I can't get the actual DID digits to display, but I was able to name the adjunct I assigned with the company name. I tried different types of "coverage" and for awhile nothing worked. I finally tried to use a coverage group to the QCC que, after going thru the maze of term flip-flops in the manuals to understand how to try and make this work.

So currently I have it working using the phantom programmed to group cover to the QCC and it displays the name assigned to the adjunct. Now the problem is to figure out how to get Voice Mail after hours...

Any suggestions or input is welcome!

I'm not sure about the Legend R6 because I have never done it on a Legend....but....and I also hate to say the word upgrade..but...here is what we are doing. We send the calls to Adjuncts....group cover the adjuncts to a Calling group. Our calling group has multiple members, as you would only have one. As the call comes in, the digits being sent by the CLEC appear in the display of their 4424D phones. Of course, we point the DID number to the Adjunct in the incoming routing table. This way, the calling group member knows who is calling them, just like you want to achieve. Again, this might work on a R6, I have just never done it. As well, you have a QCC, so you need to eliminate the QCC, and make it a DLC and add it to a calling group. Hope this helps...but I do know first hand this can be achieved.

Hi jinxs,

Thanks for your input, I have been thinking about doing an software upgrade, but have not decided whether to do R7.0 or put in Magix processor and go that route. I need to analyze the costs and see if the client wants to do that.

I tried several things using Calling Group queues, but the only one that really worked with "display info" was using the Adjunct and the Group Cover to the QCC LDN que. Which is probably similar to using a DLC and a Cover Group. What actually shows on the display is the name I assigned to the Adjunct. This way the attendant can answer the call with the correct company name.

In the example you site in your post above, you are using a Magix? Since the set you mention is a 4424D.

What type of connectivity is being provided from the CLEC?

Are the DID digits being displayed by the Magix or something else?

What I did was Renumber the Adjunct to the DID number instead of using the PRI incoming routing table translations. I like to keep a clean database when possible. Since the backup station for the QCC que is the VMS (770), the afterhours is handled by the VM box, and that works good. This is controlled by the NITE key on the Console.

SYQUEST, if you are going to upgrade to Magix, 4.0 gives you the ability of "Group" ring on Hunt Groups. This will display the hunt group info on the phone display and ring them simultaneously.

You can upgrade the processor software to Magix R4, V7 on your existing Legend processor.

Thanks guys for your input. I read briefly over the list of additions and improvements for the Legend R7 and Magix R4 software, and did not see anything related to the Console or "info" display or anything related to LDNs or DIDs on the newer versions. From your experience with those versions do they have anything like that, that is not mentioned in the document??

For my client we are more concerned what is displayed on the MLX20L Console for incoming calls and that type of capability.

I never did get any answers from JINXS to the questions posted above...
