Hello,

I can't seem to wrap my head around Multi Connect versus IP Connect. I have a pair of S8720 servers running CM 5.2 and 4 G650 gateways. We're only using digital endpoints. How do I confirm if my system is a Multi Connect or IP Connect?

Thanks

Are the 4 G650s all in one port network? ie cabinets 1A, 1B, 1C & 1D or are the in different port networks like 1A, 1B, 2A & 2B. If it is the first then you are not using IP connect. The second will be IP connect, you will have atleast 1 MedPro board in each port network to move the voice traffic back and forth between the port networks. If I remember correctly multi connect was if you were using at center stage carrier in the the G3R environment.

What I see is 01A 01B, 2A 2B, 3A 3B, and 4A 4B. I have a IPSI and Medpro in each media gateway. Sounds like IP connect

Thanks.
