MSI Packages and SMS

I am a new user of SMS and prior to getting an SMS server up and running I was using Active Directory and MSI packagaes to deploy new software applications. I have many MSI packages created and would like to know if there is a simple way to advertise and deploy a .msi package using SMS.

I think I use the Office 2000 version of the MSI process, which creates the Transform file that allows an unattended Office 2000 installation.

All I do with SMS is create a new package, then point SMS to the Office Admin installation for its source files. When you go to the Program section of the Package you can create a New Program, then select the Setup exe in the Office Admin Installation directory, and add the transform command line switches to the end. Mine reads

SETUPSTD.EXE transfroms=e.mst /qn

This installs Office 2000 Std according to my settings, speficied in the e.mst file. The /qn runs it in the background without a reboot. To avoid disturbing my sleeping customers.

Hope I have the right end of the stick on this one.
