MS Excel 2003 - Adjust Row Height Limit

Hello,

It appears Microsoft have set a limit to the row height. As in, if I format the cells to wrap the row height will adjust to a point. Then, it looks like I'd have to find the particular cell which exceeds that row height and adjust the row manually. Ultimately, I'd like to do this automatically and figure there must be somewhere that I can change the row height limit configuration.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Hi unclesvenno,

There is no user-definable parameter for changing the row height limit. Even if you found where it appears in Excel's code changing it may achieve nothing more than crashing the program.

Just Auto Adjust the row heigth for ALL cells, using AutoFill.

Hi Skip,

One you hit a row height of 409 points, no further increase is available. That limit is hard-coded.

Also, the auto-fit height function (for rows less than 409 points high) doesn't work if the cell in question is merged with one or more other cells.

I looked at that statement in isolation.

Many thanks all!

After looking into this further it certainly appears this is not a problem I can solve through a simple configuration (and I'm def not going to edit the source code) so I've abandoned all hope and will just put a disclaimer with the SS explaining the problem.

Cheers,
