what is basically the function of the /usr/spool/mqueue?
One time keeps one growing continuously with those funny files that i dunno, so i decided to erase the whole directory then recreate it instead..now its not growing anymore, sounds like it solves my problem but i dunno whats the impact now.. heheh

../spool/mqueue directory Contains the log file and temporary files associated with the messages in the mail queue.

In AIX4.3.3 the directory /var/spool/mqueue but I am not sure what version you are running.

So I guess you do not use Sendmail with this machine? If you do so, your mails are not going out anymore. If it was filled, that means, that your machine tries to deliver non-local mail. Check this out.
