One more preparatory question before I botch my first MOSS install and have to start over. ;-)

Assuming I had a working farm with all functions installed on server named "SPServer" and all databases on a SQL Server named "SPDBTest". How difficult would it be to later move all databases to a different server named "SPDBProd", leaving everything else the same, simply pointing the applications to the new DB server?.

I'm hoping MOSS is designed for this type of thing for disaster recovery if nothing else, but I'm looking for input from someone who has working experience. Thanks.

Thanks. That's pretty straightforward, unfortunately I don't think those cover the full process since they're only talking about Sharepoint Services. There's nothing about repointing MOSS server farm applications to the new server.

I'm sure it's not that difficult. Moving DBs around is something any medium to large shop does on a regular basis.
