Hi, I am a sysadmin (not phone expert) but do almost all of the moves/adds changes for my 50 user company on the Tadiran Coral IPX 500

The situation here is that I have an executive user who wants to try the 280s IP phone to see if its full duplex speakerphone will be better than the half duplex one on the 280s regular keyset that he uses.

I might have to put it back if (after he tests it) if he decides he doesn't like it.

To test whether I can do this process, I went into the NPL and changed my personal extension from a regular 280s to an IP_KEYSET and that now works fine.

But I can't seem to figure out how to do the reverse. I know I want to move my extension back to where it was on 0,7,5 but I can't seem to figure out how to do that in NPL.

Any advice? TIA,

sorry, we can delete this thread. I didn't put parenthesis around the numbers when creating the new keyset (0 7 5).

That was the key....

Just so this thread isn't a complete waste-- I changed his phone out no problem. But the new phone doesn't have the MWI indicator on and it should as there are messages in the users voicemail box. How to reset the button so it is on? Do I have to turn it off on the old extension? Thx

I figured this out too. Just toggled the MWI in the voicmail software and it went to the correct (new) extension. ie. ip keyset.

Now, the only thing I am trying to figure out is how analog ports work. I know my 2003-2006 is analog, but I can't tell what to look for to see how they grab a trunk/dial tone?

Even this is not a big deal as I ended up using 2004 for the new fax machine. (This was formerly assigned to a postage meter, which now uses Ethernet). 2005 won't dial out- so if anyone wants to tell me where to look for analog settings-- please do. Thx.
