mount point

durring install, (redhat 7.2) i forgot to give my fat32 parition a mount point, how do i add this so linux so that it is mounted everytime by default on boot?

Also, i seem to recall slackware8 having a program called gnome-ppp or something like that- i would like to get a hold of it, but i cant find it on the net, and a "friend" has my slack disc. Can anyone help me locate this?

for mounting -> chceck out /etc/fstab (man fstab might be usefull)

i found gnome-ppp on freshmeat, but it links to the same dead site that i have found before. Can someone rip this off of their slack8 disc, or point me to an alternate site?

Hi,

gnome-ppp is (was ?) part of the gnome-network package but redhat don't do a rpm of that for any current version. Presumably, thats because they have rp3 now.

There's an old redhat rpm here but you may find dependency problems :

ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/stable/releases/gnome-1.0/redhat/i386/Base/gnome-network-1.0.2-2.i386.rpm

or a slackware package :

ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/stable/releases/gnome-1.0/slackware/gnome-network-1.0.2.tgz

hmm.. i need libpanel_applet.so.0 so far i havent found it anywhere.

By the way, in the past this was the only program i could get to work with. But my modem should work with everything- it is a cardinal 28.8 ISA, hardware modem. In windows, it is on COM3. In the KDE hardware viewing program, it has my modem listed as an unknown device. How can i get it to be known, and to work?

On redhat that should be 'provided by' the gnome-core rpm (ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/7.2/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/gnome-core-1.4.0.4-38.i386.rpm)

Presumably that means you don't have gnome installed at all ?
