monitor print queues

I'm looking for a way to monitor my printer server queues on my Windows 2003 Server. I have print management installed and that looks to be exactly what I'm looking for, however the email alert feature never emails me. I can't figure out why and I've given up.

Basically I want to know if there is an error in the print queues on the print server, then if there is send me an email. I can't find anything out there that I like to do this.

I too am using Windows 2003 Server on which a number of printers are installed. Can you tell me what issues the email alert feature can alert you to ?

I'd like to know as I'd love to be advised when a printer has run out of paper or has a jam.

I still have not got Windows 2003 print queue monitor working the way I would like. I'm still left wondering what my other options are. Sorry, I can't help.
