I have a problem with an US Robotics 56k fax modem connecting to an Option 11C.

The modem was working ok,but now when it answers, you can tell by the tones it is not handshaking. If I disconnect the TTY port, the modem answers ok ,then I can re-connect the TTY port and talk to the PBX.

I have tried replacing the modem and re-entering the strings ,but the same result.I have also tried a different TTY port .

I have tried the modem on a different PBX,it works ok.

It would seem from these tests that the issue is with the SSC.

Anyone else had this issue ?

INI is what I would do. It sounds like you have eliminated everything but the PBX

what sort of line does the modem run on ????? Falc extn or DEL?????? but I would try the above first.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

Doug, Have you tried just leaving "SCH" on the TTY port?.
Are you on TTY 0 as 1 and 2 have give you problems?.

Have you tried using the port of the expansion cabinet, assuming that you have it configured and a cable connected.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks for the input guys.It started working again when I threatened it with a Tracker box !

In answer to one question,it is on a DEL.
