Hello everyone.

I have a query that I'm hoping will be easy to answer. A customer who has a Mitel 3300 wants to have a IP phone provided in a remote site, which I think would be easy enough to do via a VPN. They also want to migrate from ISDN trunks to SIP and still retain the Mitel 3300. My guess is that they don't currently have any SIP trunks and therefore is the product EOL (End Of Life) as I know it's been around for many years.

SIP trunks and devices can be used on the 3300. SIP trunks require licensing so a Mitel dealer will be needed to get them.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

Thanks Nytalkin

This means that you can still get 3300 licenses for customers?. I thought that this might have been discontinued now that newer Mitel systems are available.

The 3300 controllers have been updated. The current versions are 3300 MXe III Cx (Cxi) II and AX. Current software release is 9.0. Mitel's current policy is that the system must have Software Assurance coverage in order to get new licensing and/or software upgrades. All of these require purchase through an authorized dealer.
