missing fonts

I recently discovered that I only have three fonts and font sizes available. I'm not sure how this happened, but, I noticed it while working in Corel WordPerfect 8. This is something that has just recently happened. Previously, I had numerous fonts to chose from. I checked in the "C:\Windows\System" folder, and found that the fonts were still there (they just don't appear on the fonts list while I'm using WordPerfect). Can someone advise me on what I can do to correct this problem.
