My Redhat 7.2 server (running Apache, Sendmail, BIND and ColdFusion 4.5) stopped responding to web page requests. Pings came back OK. So I typed 'reboot' at the command prompt. When it gets to bringing up the interface (one NIC), it fails saying "missing config file ifcfg" and just sits there.

First of all, why would the file disappear? Second, how can I get it to finish booting so that I can repair whatever is wrong? Lastly, if the file is truly gone, what goes in it, so I can recreate it?

Thanks
