microsoft works error message

Whenever I try and use a microsoft works folder such as letters the program freezes up on me and gives me a not enough resources available error message. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks [sig][/sig]

After your system boots up, go to System Information and check what % of system resources are free. If the % is low, then go to System Information/Tools/System Configuration Utility/Start Up, uncheck all unnecessary programs(keep System Tray, Scan Registry, and Task Monitor checked. Also keep your firewall program checked if you have a cable ISP). Restart your computer. This should free up some resources. [sig][/sig]
