Microsoft Access Password Asked for...

Hi all.

When I try to connect to my foxpro tables directly I get a dialogue box appear asking me for a 'microsoft access password' This is funny as Crystal and my tables are installed in a terminal services enviroment and the server has never had any microsoft office product on it!

Any ideas?

Fox is now a Microsoft product, although not an Office included product.

Crystal version?
Foxpro version/connectivity used?

I'd guess that you need to use a different driver, but it's hard to say.

Hi. Its crystal reports version 8.5 and we are using ODBC to connect.

Does that mean that you're using the VFP driver? Are you using .dbc or the free table directory?

I would apply the latest service pack:

http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/updates/service_packs/default.asp

Perhaps there's some permissioning issue for the file or the path?

Have you tried copying a fox file locally and connecting to it??
