My current Microcall application is running on the local system account. We want to upgrade from a PC to a full blown server running Win2003. This was the question my server ops guys asked me:

1. What are the minimum privileges required to enable the service to run ? Would Services or Privilege Services local group membership would be sufficient?

2. Would Power User privileges for the Application support ID has sufficient rights to execute tasks within the application console and what folder permissions is required.

Can anyone help with this?

We went through this about a year ago. Going to the full blown SQL sever wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

For the rest of your questions, i would recommend you call the guys at MicroCall. They really are a very good tech support group. 770-447-5408

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?
