I have a couple of phone sets on a magix system that have the message waiting lamp on ,but there are no messages. How do I clear the MWL?

At the phone, press menu, messages, delete - then exit.

The phone set is a 4406D that dooesn't have a menu button. Can I temporarily put a 4412D there and delete?
