Message Display

Hi guys, I hope you could help us out with this problem.
We have a BCM50 and Norstar network together through VOIP. The problem is that if an extension from the Norstar calls an ext from the BCM50 and leaves a message, when the ext at the BCM50 retreives the messages, he would see on his display a person's name in the BCM50 instead of the ext name of the Norstar. We do have problem with getting names across from one switch to another which ok but can we change what's showing on the display when norstar leaves a message to bcm50. Instead of showing an ext's name in the bcm50 can we change it to something else. i.e. voicemail.

You won't get name transferred from the Norstar to the BCM 50, since the Norstar VOIP gateway uses analog trunks - no intelligence to transfer the name.

I'm wondering if what you are seeing is the "line name", or name that might be assigned to that users target line or the line that the call comes in on.

no i'm not seeing the line name, what we are seeing are names of the extensions in the bcm. it comes our randomly like sometimes it will show ext 210's name then sometimes ext 212's name even if the message came from norstar's extension. i'm still wondering where i can change this. thanks.
