Under any scenario, is it ever possible to have more than 3 T1s in a Magix, and if not, what's next, a ProLogix?

Prologix / Definity / IP Office for Avaya. There ae others out there. TipHelp@charter.net

Under 'any scenario', you could have several fractional T1's multiplexed in the C.O. and brought out to your location on one pipe. Some time ago, I networked one main and three satellite locations, resulting in three fractional T1's (8 channels at each satellite) being multiplexed into one T1 at the main site.

"any scenario" opens the door to a lot. Have not seen it done, but was once on a conferance call when some one chimed in that they had 6 legends networked together. Very, very much in the "this is not supported" chapter.

The logic is that you could have 2 Magix systems in the same wiring closet using UDP and centralized voicemail. Each could have 2 T's plus the one between. This seems dangerous to me and creates the opportunity for a LOT of variables, troubleshooting, and Admin nightmares.

If it's my job to administer these systems I would upgrade and go definity.

Thanks all for responding! I'mm going to suggest to the Powers-That-Be an upgrade is needed. We'll deal with a ProLogix from scratch.
