I get "The instruction at "0x00405c64" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read"." when trying to unpack an .exe file. I get the same error when using some functions in MS Project.

What is causing this error? Windows NT4? The hardware? or the spec. program? And do you have a solution to it?

You know, I have been receiving this type of error on several boxes I work with, both NT and W2K, and have not found what may be causing it.

Can you list exactly what you have installed on your box so I can compare. I have the feeling it is app related.

Thanks.
