I have a user community that leaves very long voicemails (15-20 minutes or so). I've increased the ability for folks to rec've those length messages, however I have a user that was logged on pressed 2 to create a message and spoke for 15 minutes, then went to send the message and it said, "your session has reached its limit. Goodbye.".

Where can I increase that?

Thanks,
CJH

It is in the vmsc under the general tab

Maximum Call Duration in Minutes Enter the number of minutes that callers or subscribers are permitted to spend using the TUI during one session. When this time is up, they are disconnected. The range is 0 through 99 and the default is 0. If 0 is configured, there is no time limit on a TUI session.

Ahh Great - Thanks! It was set to 30. I'm gonna leave it at that and tell folks.

Is there any warning tones or anything when you get close to that? Or if when leaving a message? On the Octel it would sound when you had 10 seconds or left, so you'd know to finish up your message.

Thanks,
CJH

Also Ken,

This appears to be a global setting. If we have 1500 mailboxes and 48 ports, what is the likelihood we could rec've a busy tone if we set to 60 minutes?

Are there general guidelines to follow?

Thanks,
CJH

You may but i do not know what your traffic is on the system. No harm in trying it.

I think it is a tone 5 sec before it drops but i would have to test it.
