Dear All,
I recently set up a VPN using Win 2000 advanced server.
Our main application is MAS 200 from Sage, In the office (off the VPN) all works great...over the VPN Mas 200 seems to crawl and crystal reports when printing craps out more often than not...Any ideas??? MS word, excel etc work great..
Is there a speacial way to install mas 200 on a remote site??
Thanx
Moti

Forewarned - I am not an expert in the area of networks.... We set up a MAS90 VPN, we used Win2000Pro terminal services and the VPN is provided by an ESoft Instagate appliance. This setup is pretty stable. Our remote user gets kicked off 3-4 times a week, working 9 hours a day. Sometimes there is a slowness issue, but all in all it is useable. If you talk to your reseller, he will suggest a Citrix (frame? server) that is the best way to go (according to Best), and then they may suggest using a remote control program to control a workstation remotely on your network. If you go with terminal services you have to buy a 5 client pack from Microsoft for $500... I don't know the cost of the other solutions.
