How can I make a MenuItem (which may be a sub-menu) appear when required under control of my program. It is not a pop-up menu.

Hi NutsAndBolts,

You probably missed reading the help file.

Try having a look at the "visible" property there.

Cheers,

Andrew

Guess he want the menu to pop out of the bar, and show the selected (sub)item.

Can't find the answer now though...

Thanks DeerBear - I have tried setting the Visible property, as well as some of the other properties of the tMenuItem and the tMainMenu as well, with no joy.

What I'm really after, is that after clicking a certain menu item, the menu does not disappear. I wanted to make the program show it again after clicking, but some way of preventing it from disappearing would also work.

It seems that the tMainMenu encapsulates a windows object. I'm not too familiar with how it works beyond that, and don't really want to wade through the Win32 help files.

So was wondering if anyone out there has managed it before

Thanks
Dave
