Is there any way I can make the ringing tone the UK instead of USA? I know this is crazy but I want to see if we can do this?

change the locale of the system
you seem to like the double ring then I guess

I like it. Haha... sounds different. Wonder if it will mess up my DSS though.

no it should not do that

thanks for the pink

Trying it at our small location 1 unit since the system has to reboot I have 299+ phones on another system.

you could also change individual users locale to test it out, that should be mergeable

I changed the whole system - restarted it and it screwed all the analog trunks up makes buzzing noises and rings for a sec. changing back to USA.

that is because analog trunks are not very common in the UK, they have mostly ISDN BRI's
sorry for your luck

I wish we had a BRI we can't even get PRI only DSS at our main location :(

size of UK is better suited for full infrastructure

Yes, it's much better this side of the pond [smile]

If you really need "exotic" tone, you could always try Customize in the Locale-dropdown on System page.
That matches the Saudi Arabia settings, but it gives you the opportunity to chose the Tone Plan.

Tone Plan 1: United States.
Tone Plan 2: United Kingdom.
Tone Plan 3: France.
Tone Plan 4: Germany.
Tone Plan 5: Spain.

On the users you set US locale to get the correct prompts.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Changing the locale on the system gas influence on the trunks, never do that!
You better change the locale on the users but I am not sure if that will change the ring type, it might do that.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

System Telephony Telephony

Default Outside call Sequence
Default Inside Call Sequence
Default Ring-back Sequence

The help files should detail the available cadence patterns (unless you have V9.1 manager in which case Avaya have F**ked up broken the links.)
Ring-type 7 looks like proper ring-tone to me.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

If I am right do these ringtone settings only apply to analogue stations.
