I have Windows 2000 Server with Active Directory and roaming profiles but I am not running Exchange. Instead, each user has an IMAP email account from an ISP.

I would like a user's email settings (account name, pw, email server, personal folders, etc) to be roaming with their profile. Outlook seems to want to store these settings locally. How can I have it grab the settings from the user's profile on the server?

Step-by-step instructions would be appreciated.

Each user needs to have home directory on the server. The directory needs to have a sharename. (preferably as a $-share that makes it invisible)
The user account has a profile tab where you map a drive letter (e.g. I:) to that $-share directory.
The outlook.pst file of the users mail has to be moved to that home directory.
Outlook asks for the location of the pst-file when it is opened, and you point to the drive letter that is mapped with the user-account.

best Regards Zenzei
