Is there a way that Groupwise can alert you with a pop up message that new mail has arrived? Like Outlook does with the Mail Notification, as long as the program is open, a notification will pop up and let the user know she/he has mail if they're working in a different program?

Thanks

Yes it's called notify.......

With a typical installation of GroupWise it is normally located in.... c:\novell\groupwise5\notify.exe Once you run that it loads a small program that runs on your system tray, looks like a blue world. When a piece of mail or an appointment arrives in the users account it will pop up a dialog box that will sit on the desktop for about 30 seconds (this can be adjusted) and then goes away but the Icon will show that the user has a new notification by placing a letter over the world......

hope this helps...

thanks! I can't find that exe on the computer in question, but I'm nowhere near it and actually had to have the user look for it. If you can think of anywhere else (or if it's not called notify.exe as I had her search her local drives for it), let me know??? Thanks again for your quick help!!

unless it was deleted off the system, by default it is called notify.exe (for GroupWise 5.x anyway). Normally it is in the same directory as the GroupWise executable. Don't know what else it could be called, I know GroupWise 4.x also had Notify.exe as the popup......
