We are changing our Auto Attend. We set it up when calling in AA picks up full time.If you zero out it rings the main reception (610) like it should but never goes to voicemail.I made 610 the call service operator,no good,I made 0 transfer to 610 no good.We want it to ring about 8 times then dump to ext 610 voicemail if not answered

I am not sure what you are zeroing out. The normal way to setup a delay - before calls go to the autoattendant - is to setup a voicemail overflow group. You then set the number of seconds (4 to 5 per ring)for the call to ring at the operator - before the AA kicks in and answers. You also need to setup an autoattendant mailbox for the overflow group in voicemail admin. AND - you have to remove the lines/pool from the regular VM Calling Group and reassign them to the new overflow group.

Tom, he has the Auto Attendant answer first, immediatly. No cover delay or overflow group necessary - just assign the incoming line pool to the voice mail calling group.

Then when the caller hits the Auto Attendant menu, and presses 0, the call transfers to the Dial-0/timeout destination.

The default destination is Ext. 768, and being an invalid extension number, it rings at the lowest logical ID, i.e., the Operator. This call will never cover to voice mail.

Partnerman, did you make a mailbox for 610, AND put 610 in the coverage group for voice mail?? Do internal calls to 610 cover to voice mail.

Changing the Dial-0/timeout to 610, or changing 610 to the call answer service operator should both cause calls to transfer and cover to 610's mailbox if not answered.

Be sure to also look at the settings for Transfer Return and 610's group coverage.
